The Republic of Cuba has approximately 11.3 million residents.

There are approximately 1.8 million individuals of Cuban descent residing in the United States.

One estimate is 20% to 30% of individuals subject to United States law of Cuban descent residing in the United States have immediate family residing in the Republic of Cuba.

Perhaps, another 30% to 40% has more distant family residing in the Republic of Cuba.

So, perhaps 50% to 70% have some family members residing in the Republic of Cuba.

Approximately 65% of all individuals of Cuban descent who reside in the United States are located in the State of Florida- and this grows more concentrated over time.

Next is New Jersey then California, Louisiana, Texas, and Illinois.
